Voith recently announced that Voith and Lee & Man Paper Co., Ltd. officially signed a contract on June 7, 2016 in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, to provide two paper machines, TM11 and TM12, to Lee & Man Paper. This move not only continued the successful cooperation between Lee & Man and Voith, but also further strengthened Voith's strong position in the global tissue machine market.
The TM11 and TM12 paper machines will be installed at Lee & Man Paper's Dongguan plant and are scheduled to start up in September and July 2017, respectively. Lee & Man Paper has ordered Voith to order three sets of TM3, TM9 and TM10 tissue machines, of which TM9 and TM10 will be turned on in March and May 2017. This means that from March to September 2017, every two months, a Voith-provided tissue machine is turned on at the Lee & Man Paper Factory. This reflects the customer's great trust in Voith and the recognition of Voith's high quality products and services over the years.
The TM11 and TM12 paper machines are 5.6 meters wide and have a design speed of 2,200 m/min and a maximum speed of 2000 m/min. Two tissue machines use raw fiber as raw material, and each paper machine produces 60,000 tons of tissue paper per year. Under the contract, Voith's scope of supply includes slurry preparation, sizing, broke, white water systems and two tissue machines. Among them, the NipcoFlex T shoe press technology, which can significantly save energy consumption, the 5.5 m steel Yankee dryer with better heat transfer and higher drying efficiency, and the high-performance steam hood realize the perfect combination. The quality of the paper is produced while reducing energy consumption. Voith's scope of supply also includes technically proven Voith automation systems such as Distributed Control System (DCS), Paper Machine Control System (MCS) and Quality Control System (QCS).
Voith is committed to meeting the paper industry's requirements for lower energy and clean water consumption, less fiber usage and higher system reliability. The signing of this contract once again demonstrates the strong position of Voith's innovative papermaking technology in the field of tissue paper.
